It’s no secret that when warm weather rolls around, Maine becomes a treasure trove of excellent places to enjoy great food & drink outside. One such place that we’ve been spending time this summer is the newly reimagined Harbor Bistro & Terrace at the Portland Harbor Hotel.
The Harbor Bistro & Terrace’s location pairs unbeatable convenience in Downtown Portland with a sense of seclusion and calm rarely found in city patio dining. From the Hotel’s entrance on Fore Street in the Old Port, the restaurant is just a quick flight of stairs away, with the welcoming atmosphere of the landing giving way to an elegant bar & indoor dining space, as well as an expansive, sun-graced Terrace.
Any given night on the Terrace can take on a sense of magic. We enjoyed live music as the Maine summer sun dipped behind the buildings, sipped beers & snacked by the warmth of the fire pit into the evening. With upscale-yet-approachable and regionally inspired cuisine on the menu, there are many ways to find your way to a memorable meal. The drinks flow from both the Bistro and the Terrace bars - wine, cocktails, and Mast Landing beers are all a great companion to your many choices in food.
With the new Harbor Bistro & Terrace concept, the Portland Harbor Hotel puts forth a vision for exceptional dining in an exciting location - far more than what the idea of a hotel restaurant might conjure.
